1937

Blue Terra is established following a request from Tsukiji Hongan-ji Temple.

1946

Regular production of globes begins based on information and expertise gained from GHQ the Ministry of Education, the Maritime Safety Agency(Hydrographic Dept.), the Geographical Survey Institute and Buyodo. Started sales to schools, Maruzen Bookshop etc..

1960

Began sales of planisphere and portable planetarium.

1962

Incorporated as Watanabe Kyogu Co., Ltd.

1965

Unsei Watanabe the first President , was awarded the Tokyo Award for Business Achievements and the Yellow Ribbon Medal.

1971

Unsei Watanabe was awarded the Fifth Class Order of the Sacred Treasure.

1980

Production was relocated to Soka City, Saitama Prefecture.

1989

Company Office Headquarters relocated to Soka City. Sales expand with new and innovative products developed by industrial designer and 3rd. Company President, Hiroshi Watanabe.

1995

Miwako Watanabe became the 4th. Company President.

1998

Officially designated as an "Uruoi Factory" by Soka City Govt.

1999

Officially designated as a "Factory of Saitama Pref." by Saitama Pref. Govt.

2002

Miwako Watanabe assumes the post of councilor for Soka Elementary School and Matsue Junior High School in Soka City, and is appointed to the Soka City Govt. Universal Design Committee.
